(1) Civil servants, soldiers or officers of the Nepali Army or Police who make significant contributions in the field of national service for the national interest may be awarded the Rashtraseva Medal.
(2) Medals as per sub-rule (1) shall be of first class and second class.
(3) Civil servants, soldiers or officers of the Nepalese Army or Police who have completed the following service period will be awarded the National Service Medal as follows -
(a) First Class National Service Medal for 25 years of uninterrupted service,
(b) Second Class National Service Medal for 12 years of uninterrupted service,
(4) The design, shape and plaque of the medal as per sub-rule (1) shall be as mentioned in Appendix Three Schedule-2.
